A Art Basel Hong Kong 2024, prevista para março, apresentará 242 expositores, incluindo três galerias brasileiras
Para a sua próxima edição, a Art Basel Hong Kong retornará ao seu tamanho pré-pandemia, trazendo 242 expositores ao Centro de Convenções e Exposições de Hong Kong, de 28 a 30 de março, com dois dias de prévia VIP em 26 e 27 de março.
A edição de 2023, que contou com o regresso de inúmeras galerias e visitantes internacionais, contou com 171 expositores. Tal como nas edições anteriores, a feira está dividida em três seções principais: Galleries, setor principal da feira com cerca de 200 expositores; Discoveries, para apresentações individuais de artistas emergentes; e Insights, para apresentações históricas sobre artistas da região Ásia-Pacífico. Detalhes sobre as quatro seções restantes (Kabinett, Encounters, Film e Conversations) serão anunciados nos próximos meses.

Além disso, 68 galerias retornarão à feira após um hiato, incluindo Galerie Lelong & Co., Lisson Gallery, Matthew Marks Gallery, Kurimanzutto, Sprüth Magers, Galerie Eva Presenhuber, Regen Projects e Acquavella Galleries. E a feira também receberá 25 expositores estreantes, incluindo Alison Jacques (de Londres), Chapter NY (Nova York), Gallery 1957 (Accra e Londres), Bortolami (Nova York), Fitzpatrick Gallery (Paris), Morán Morán (Los Angeles e Cidade do México), Nonaka-Hill (Los Angeles), Almeida e Dale Galeria de Arte (São Paulo), Station (Melbourne e Sydney) e Dvir Gallery (Bruxelas, Paris e Tel Aviv).
Além da Almeida e Dale, também participam as galerias brasileiras Gomide & Co e Mendes Wood DM.
Angelle Siyang-Le, diretora da feira , disse em um comunicado: “Nosso objetivo é conectar visitantes de todo o mundo em nossa casa, Hong Kong, oferecendo possibilidades de colaboração e inovação inspiradas na arte e nos artistas. Como principal centro cultural estratégico na Ásia e na Ásia-Pacífico, a cidade desempenha um papel importante, mais do que nunca, na ligação entre o cenário artístico em evolução entre as regiões.”
