Como destaque da Art Basel Miami Beach, que acontece a partir do dia 3 de dezembro, 26 obras de artistas de destaque no cenário internacional transformarão o Collins Park em um jardim de esculturas. Nicholas Baume, diretor e curador chefe do Public Art Fund, está de volta em seu segundo ano de curadoria da seção Public da feira.
Sob o tema “Fieldwork”, Public vai ocupar o Collins Park com instalações em grandes formatos e instalações site-specific criadas por artistas estabelecidos e emergentes de 13 diferentes países. Assim como nos últimos dois anos, algumas obras selecionadas permanecerão no local até março de 2015.
Além das esculturas, uma série de performances será apresentada na noite de abertura – que é aberta ao público e gratuita. Todo o setor permanece com entrada livre, com tours guiados diariamente em três horários diferentes.
